Our approach to photography was built out of a heart to serve and love people like Christ. The goal is, obviously, to get your dream photos, but ultimately, we want you to walk away feeling seen, heard, and loved.
We are definitely NOT the photogs for everyone - and that’s okay! You don’t mesh with every single person you meet, that’s just not how life works. We’re huge goofballs and love laughing, telling dad-jokes and Emergency Dance Parties tend to happen with us!
We try not to take life too seriously and we love hanging out after sessions. The purpose of this page is to give you a snapshot (puns are always intended here) of what it will be like working with us. If this sounds like something you can get on board with, keep on reading, friend!
The Experience
Get Rid of Everything You Know About Photographers...
We like to think of ourselves as a third wheel following you around. It sounds weird, but it works...trust me. This is why we're so adamant about becoming your friends before ever sticking a camera in your face. We're strong believers in capturing the in-between moments when you don't even know we're shooting, and we've found that it makes the experience that much more enjoyable for you if we let the magic happen instead of forcing it.
We're All About Dancing it Out!
Let's be real, being in front of a camera can be intimidating if you're not used to it. We like to play music and let you do your thang! If you have a favorite song or genera, we've got you covered - it's important to us that you feel comfortable, so don't be surprised when we tell you to take 30 seconds to breathe and relax.
We strongly encourage dancing to get our couples loose before diving into intimate moments. And for our families and portrait sessions, dancing helps loosen everyone up to enjoy the moments being captured! (Plus the kids love it!)
Remember: We're you're third-party observers! It's our job to preserve the memories being created!

Real emotion is what makes a good photo great and, usually, someone ends up crying (it’s Michaela. She’ll for sure cry.)
With our couples, we love capturing the playful side of your relationship, along with the intimate moments (and that doesn't just mean kissing!) You know that saying, "the eyes are the window to the soul"? Well, we truly believe that. You can capture so much just in a person's eyes. In fact, we'll often step back and give you space with your love. We've had couples break out in a dance, whisper sweet nothings to one another, and even get into tickle fights! But in order for those magic moments to happen, there needs to be a foundation of trust between us. This is why we love to work closely with you to craft your dream photos. We are passionate about ensuring that you and your love walk away with more than just a nice photograph...we want you to walk away with memories that will stay with you long after the wedding day.
For our families and portrait sessions, this looks like snuggling with your babies, laughing at a joke we'll probably tell, and honestly just having tons of fun!
We're raising the bar on traditional photos...
The definition of intimacy is literally, "to know and be fully known." So don't be afraid of it! You can communicate so much to your boo without ever kissing.
There's a quote I love by Eudora Welty that says, "A good snapshot keeps a moment from running away". This is why we do what we do. For us, it's more than just a photograph, it's a memory frozen in time.

Getting started is simple! We'll break it all down and you'll have our phone numbers if you have any questions throughout the process!
Upon reaching out, we'll send you a questionnaire to get to know you a little bit before setting up a time to meet face-to-face (or over facetime). This all happens way before we ever send you a contract!
After you book us, we'll walk with you to create a game plan designed just for you! We'll reach out periodically to answer any questions you have and keep you updated on the process, and for our couples planning weddings, we really love to go out on a double date at some point to relax and have fun!
Like we've said a billion times, we're all about building trust and friendship. We'll serve you the same way we would our closest friends.

We're Southern California natives who moved 2,500 miles away to Knoxville, Tennessee in 2019!
Creativity makes our hearts soar! We definitely go to art museums for fun, and we love crafting unique and meaningful photos and designs that will always remain timeless. It brings us so much joy knowing that we're able to serve other people and give them moments to look back on for a lifetime!
